He said this during a meeting with young scientists at the Sirius Center.
“Unfortunately, we are very dependent on foreign instrumentation,” RIA Novosti quotes the head of state.
Putin added that in some areas this dependence is up to 90%.
He noted that in the current conditions it is felt especially acutely.
The President added that "in the end, it was necessary to start intensively developing our instrument base."
Putin also called for systematic work to develop science in the country.
