The workers of the Coupang Logistics Center branch of the National Logistics Center Branch of the Public Transport Union urged the management to properly equip the logistics center with air conditioning facilities.

The workers held a press conference in front of Coupang's headquarters in Songpa-gu, Seoul at around 10 am today (20th) and said, "Coupang did not respond to the installation of the air conditioner, so I'm going to install the air conditioner myself." He said he would march.

Jeong Dong-heon, chairman of the Dongtan Logistics Center branch, said, "Three workers were transferred to the hospital due to heat illness in July at the Dongtan Logistics Center alone." said.

Min Byeong-jo, head of the Coupang Logistics Center branch of the Public Transport Workers' Union, added, "Even though the rainy season is over and the heat hasn't come yet, the inside of the logistics center is measured at 37 degrees."

They will start marching today at Coupang's Jamsil headquarters and plan to march about 10km to Moran Station.

On the 23rd, we will arrive at the Dongtan Logistics Center in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do and install the air conditioner directly.

Of course, there is no news that the management has agreed yet, so it is unclear whether the air conditioner can actually be installed.

Since the 23rd of last month, the Coupang Logistics Center branch has been holding an inspection at the headquarters by requesting an interview with the management over nine issues, including paid break times, wage increases, and measures to deal with heat waves.
