A woman in her 20s was caught by the police after she cut off the wire by hanging from the exterior wall of the building to prevent others from accessing the Internet when the connection was cut off.

Today (12th), the Daejeon Dunsan Police Station announced that A (22) was booked without detention on charges of damage to special property and sent to the prosecution.

Person A is suspected of cutting internet cables, etc., hanging from the exterior wall of the second floor of Mo Villa in Galma-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, around 3 pm on the 14th of last month.

When the six police officers who responded to the report arrived at the scene, Mr. A was cutting the cable on the exterior wall of the building 3 to 4 meters high even in heavy rain with scissors.

The garbage bag caught on Mr. A's left arm contained a cut internet cable, and it is said that the wire he cut was also on the floor.

Police reported that A was in danger of falling and called the 119 paramedics.

In addition, we notified KEPCO of this fact for cable repair, etc.

After that, 119 paramedics arrived at the scene and laid out two mattresses about 2m in width and 2m in height under Mr. A.

It is said that when the police held a 3-step stick and said "Come down" to Mr. A, Mr. A grabbed the electric wire and swung scissors while hanging.

Person A confronted the police for about 30 minutes and started to lose strength and stumble.

The police took advantage of this opportunity to steal the scissors, and the 119 paramedics dragged A to the floor.

During the police investigation, Mr. A stated, "I got angry when the internet connection was cut off, so I thought, 'Other people shouldn't do it', so I took the scissors at home and went out and cut the lines."

Communication cables were cut, and Internet access was also interrupted in a large number of houses.

A police official said, "Mr. A did not reveal his identity other than the reason for the crime, so he asked the National Institute of Forensic Sciences to verify his identity."
