Excluding 20 cases imported from abroad, 3,272 cases were domestically infected.



There were 2,583 cases in the metropolitan area and 689 cases in non-metropolitan areas.



The number of critically ill patients was counted at 506, a decrease of 16 from the previous day, the highest number ever recorded.



The death toll has risen by 29, so far, 3,187 people have lost their lives to COVID-19.



Currently, 63.7% of intensive care beds are in use nationwide and 78.1% in the metropolitan area.



Seoul has already surpassed 80% and only 66 beds remain.



The government has decided to encourage large hospitals to secure additional beds and at the same time strengthen the emergency transport system for in-home caregivers.



A hotline is established between the 119 situation room and the home treatment team, and an ambulance dedicated to infectious diseases is dispatched first in case of an emergency.



In the midst of this, the COVID-19 preventive vaccine continues to increase the vaccination rate as 110,000 people received new vaccinations a day yesterday.



As of 00:00 today, there were 44,000 people who received the first dose, and the inoculation rate compared to the population is 82%.
