The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education has introduced measures to eradicate violence in schools by limiting the activities of the sports club by violating student athletes or disqualifying them from the sports department in order to resolve the violence in the school sports department.

First, according to the School Violence Prevention Act, students who are violent in school are restricted from activities in the sports club for a certain period of time, such as participation in training and conversation, and athletes in the student sports club who have been transferred due to school violence will lose their qualifications as a sports specialist.

In particular, student athletes who have been transferred from junior high school are excluded from the qualification screening for physical education experts even when entering high school.

To this end, the Seoul Office of Education plans to revise the rules related to the selection of sports specialists in the near future.

In addition, the Seoul Office of Education requires school principals to provide safety accident prevention education and counseling once a month for dormitory students as the school violence problem frequently occurs in the dormitory where the student athletes stay. After leaving the office, the school violence leader decided to restrict access to the dormitory.
