An armed man is entrenched in Domont, in the Val d'Oise, with his wife, after having injured two people.

About a hundred gendarmes as well as the GIGN are currently on the scene.

An armed man is entrenched Thursday evening in Domont in the Val-d'Oise, after having shot at least two people, who were taken to hospital.

Around 8:00 p.m., this man had been entrenched for about an hour in his company with his wife, said the Pontoise prosecutor's office.

The first elements indicate that the event would have occurred against a background of separation, according to information obtained by Europe 1.

About 100 gendarmes as well as the GIGN are on the spot, in this city located about twenty kilometers north of Paris.

The Pontoise public prosecutor's office said it had opened an investigation, the nature of which was not specified.

The Versailles Research Section was also seized.
