Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol decided to challenge two disciplinary members at the second deliberation of the Prosecutor's Disciplinary Committee of the Ministry of Justice today (15th).

In a statement sent to reporters today, Mr. Yoon's lawyer Wan-gyu Lee said, "We will apply for an evasion against the official representative of the disciplinary committee, Chairman Han-jung Jeong and the anti-corruption and strong prosecutor of the disciplinary committee."

Previously, during the first deliberation, President Yoon excluded Director Shin from the object of evasion because he was the chief of staff of President Yoon, but today he included him as the object of evasion, saying'there is a risk of harming fairness in relation to the Channel A incident'.

Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon, who is suspected of being involved in the so-called'probate confusion' with a former reporter of Channel A, pointed out Director Shin as the prosecutor who confirmed the misinformation to the KBS reporter in a recent opinion submitted to the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office.

“In the public official disciplinary decree, people who are involved in the case are excluded and they are trying to avoid it by themselves,” said Lee. “If you do not give an opinion of evasion and do not evade yourself, you will apply for evasion.”

Chairman Chung's duties were included in the object of evasion in the second deliberation following the first deliberation.

President Yoon's side designated Chairman Chung as "a person who will reflect the intention of the minister".

In addition, he pointed out that he made a predictable comment in relation to President Yoon's remarks of "serving the people after retirement," who caused controversy among the grounds for disciplinary action.

Even though he was commissioned as a civilian commissioner, he was a director of the Government Justice Corporation.

It is said that it does not fit the purpose of the'Appointment of Private Commissioners' to minimize the influence of the Ministry of Justice.

Chairman Chung pointed out the problem that the qualifications overlapped with other private members, such as attorneys and law professors, although the official representative of the Prosecutors and Discipline Act was commissioned as'a person with knowledge and virtue.'

Vice Minister Lee Yong-gu of the Ministry of Justice, who was the target of the challenge during the first deliberation, was excluded from the application for challenge today.

This seems to have been conscious of the criticism that General Yoon's side is blocking the holding of the disciplinary committee itself by applying to avoid the ``heavy pile''.
