According to the Special Guards Group of the West Coast 5th Office of the Central Coast and Maritime Police Agency, Sergeant Im Dong-soo (41) of the 523 fleet of the guard visited a restaurant in Jagalchi Market, Jung-gu, Busan on the afternoon of the 2nd of this month.
At the time, Sergeant Lim was on a business trip to Busan to check the status of the patrol ship under repair.
He met dinner with his family who had traveled to Busan for the weekend.
While eating, I suddenly heard a yelling, "It's a thief. My bag," across the restaurant, and he shook the spoon he heard and ran straight out of the restaurant.
After chasing a woman in her 60s who stole a woman's bag and ran about 50 meters away, Sergeant Lim caught a suspect hiding under a nearby parked vehicle.
He later handed over the suspect's recruits to police officers in the Busan Central Police Station, who had been dispatched to the report.
"I was a little embarrassed because of an unexpected situation during a business trip on a holiday evening, but I did what I had to do as a police officer," he said.
