The economic crisis in Östersund has been an upswing in the autumn. After having their elite license revoked at the end of November, the club appealed to the Swedish Football Association's Board of Appeal. ÖFK's CEO Lennart Ivarsson has met with the Board of Appeal and presented an economic plan for the club and tells SVT Sport that they are "very optimistic" after the meeting.

The Board of Appeal held meetings during the week and on Monday, the committee's final decision regarding the elite license will be communicated. Should ÖFK again get a no, you still have another body, the Swedish Sports Commission, to apply to. Brage, who lost the All-Swedish qualifier against Kalmar, will take the place of Östersund in the All-Swedish if ÖFK is not denied his elite license.
