The Confederation of African Football (CAF) declared "the loser of the final return by default" the Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca, implicitly giving the title of the African Champions League to Esperance Tunis, Wednesday, at the end of a long battle of procedure.
Moroccans are punished for abandoning the return match on May 31 to protest a failure of the video arbitration audience (VAR), convinced that it could have validated a goal denied by the referee who would have returned to 1-1, first leg score.
