US President Donald Trump has vetoed the Senate debate on an anti-emergency law. He was prepared for this step, if necessary, Trump wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

Senate on Border Security & the Wall (which is already under major construction). I am prepared to veto, if necessary. The Southern Border is a National Security and Humanitarian Nightmare, but it can be easily fixed!

The Senate is expected to pass a resolution Thursday against the state of emergency imposed by Trump on the Mexican border. In addition to the Democrats, five Republican senators have announced their vote in favor of the law. Trump has previously stated that he will refuse to sign the law. To override a veto, however, a two-thirds majority is needed - which is considered unlikely.

Trump had set the emergency at the beginning of the year, in order to receive money for the construction of a boundary wall, which he wanted. It is debatable whether there really is a crisis on the border with Mexico. Many critics accuse the president of exceeding his constitutional powers. The question is likely to deal with many other dishes.
