The opening ceremony of the station was held.

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the project and took a trial ride on the light rail train.

  This project is the second light rail implemented by China Civil Engineering Construction in Lagos after the Blue Line. The project starts from Oyingbo Station and ends at Agbado Station. The total length of the line is about 26.5 kilometers, with 2 kilometers of new lines and 8 stations along the line. Station and 4 bus-span railway overpasses, all of which adopt Chinese technical standards.
