According to the lawyer, when a well-known, “and especially a public person, speaks out in anticipation of an unlimited circle of people, this ceases to be only his personal matter.”

He recalled Article 280.3 of the Russian Criminal Code, which provides for liability for public actions aimed at discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

“For these illegal actions, no matter whether they were committed on the territory of Russia or abroad, liability arises in the form of a fine in the amount of 100 to 300 thousand rubles, or forced labor for up to 3 years, or arrest for a period of 4 to 6 months, or imprisonment for up to 5 years,” explained Solovyov.

He also noted that in practice everything will depend on many circumstances.

“Other circumstances, such as aggravating and mitigating circumstances, will also be taken into account.

In any case, I am sure that each such case will be considered according to the law and strictly individually,” added the RT interlocutor.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, said that show business representatives who immigrated from Russia and who discredit the actions of the Russian armed forces, if returned, will be held accountable by law for their actions.
