In a comment to TASS, a representative of the Foreign Ministry noted that all requests from Tiraspol are considered by the Russian relevant departments “with attention.”

“Protecting the interests of the residents of Transnistria, our compatriots, is one of the priorities,” the ministry said.

Earlier it was reported that Transnistria turned to Russia due to pressure and blockade from the Moldovan authorities.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that Moscow will not allow 200 thousand Russian citizens in Transnistria to become victims of “another Western adventure” to destabilize the region.
