“Here is a question of political initiative on the part of deputies, senators or political leadership on the advisability of giving these structures terrorist status.
We believe that this is advisable,” he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Miroshnik added that political consensus is needed to recognize the above-mentioned departments as terrorist at the international level.
According to him, the status of such organizations is a matter of time.
“In essence, they have already done everything to achieve this title... Nowhere in the world should they be treated as an adequate armed unit existing in the international legal field,” the diplomat concluded.
Rosfinmonitoring has included the terrorist group “Aidar”* in the register of terrorists and extremists.
* “Aidar” is an organization recognized as terrorist and banned in Russia.
