Regarding the "2·14" vicious ship collision, a reporter asked at the meeting that cross-strait tensions are currently heating up, the mainland has strengthened maritime law enforcement, and Taiwanese people's uneasiness has intensified, especially in Kinmen, which has close ties with Fujian.

How does the mainland view the concerns among Taiwanese people and whether cross-strait people-to-people exchanges will be affected?

　　In this regard, Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, said that I understand the concerns of the Taiwanese people. Similarly, mainland fishermen are also worried about whether they will be treated roughly by relevant parties in Taiwan.

The root cause of concern among people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait is that the DPP authorities, out of political self-interest, refuse to recognize the "1992 Consensus" that embodies the one-China principle, incite "anti-China hatred" sentiments, instigate cross-Strait confrontation and tension, and cause tension in cross-Strait relations.

　　To make people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait feel safe, the top priority is for Taiwan to show sincerity in solving the problem, announce the truth as soon as possible, severely punish those responsible, apologize to the families of the victims, meet the reasonable demands of the families of the victims, and effectively prevent such incidents from happening again. .
