Al-Qassam fired two rounds of 40 rockets from southern Lebanon towards Israeli sites (French)

The Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - announced that it had fired two rounds of 40 rockets from southern Lebanon towards Israeli military sites.

It added that it bombed the headquarters of the "769th Eastern Brigade", Camp Ghibur, and the airport barracks in Beit Hillel.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that two missile salvos were fired from southern Lebanon towards Israeli positions in the Galilee Finger, noting the explosion of Israeli interceptor missiles in the airspace of border villages in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon.

He added that two Israeli raids targeted the vicinity of the town of Beit Lev in southern Lebanon, while sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona and the Galilee finger for the second time since Wednesday morning.

On the other hand, Israeli Channel 12 reported that 14 missiles were launched from Lebanon at the town of Kiryat Shmona in northern Israel, while the occupation army said that it monitored the launching of 10 missiles at towns in the Galilee and that a missile landed inside Kiryat Shmona.

Damages

For his part, the Israeli police spokesman reported that property damage occurred as a result of a number of rockets falling in the vicinity of Kiryat Shmona.

The Israeli channel added that one missile was intercepted, while another fell on a building in Kiryat Shmona, in addition to two rockets falling in two open areas without injuries or damage.

It was also reported that material damage occurred during the recent bombing from Lebanon on the town of Beit Hillel in the Upper Galilee, and sirens were sounded in a number of towns in northern Israel near the border with Lebanon.

A day after expanding military strikes deep into Lebanon on Monday, the rate of intermittent shooting between Israel and Hezbollah since last October 8 returned to the level of border targeting.

Yesterday, Tuesday, Hezbollah announced that it bombed the Meron air control base in Jabal al-Jarmaq twice with missiles from several launchers, and also targeted the 146th Division headquarters with dozens of Katyusha rockets, in response to the Israeli army’s bombing of the vicinity of the city of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon, on Monday.

In solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which is subjected to a devastating Israeli war, Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon exchange bombardments with the Israeli army, leaving deaths and injuries on both sides.
