As reported by the press service of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred at about 16:00 Moscow time in the village of Privetinskoye, Vyborg district of the Leningrad region.
The girl, born in 2012, died from her injuries at the scene of the accident.
Based on the results of the inspection of the scene of the incident, a criminal case was initiated under the article on violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles.
“The driver was taken to the police to carry out the necessary procedural actions,” the press service noted.
Earlier it was reported that the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, would be informed about the investigation into the death of a Sverdlovsk woman in an accident.
