“An attempt by the Ukrainian special services to commit a terrorist act in the Zaporozhye region using an analogue of a chemical warfare agent according to the NATO classification “BZ” was stopped,” the Russian intelligence service reported.

The seized drugs are used to create chemical weapons of mass destruction and were developed in the United States, the FSB emphasized.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 355 of the Criminal Code (“Development, production, accumulation, acquisition or sale of weapons of mass destruction”) and Article 205 of the Criminal Code (“Terrorist act”).

On February 19, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, said that Ukraine uses chemical weapons not only during combat operations, but also to carry out terrorist attacks.

Thus, on December 5, 2023, the head of the LPR administration, Leonid Pasechnik, received severe poisoning with phenolic compounds.
