“The Chinese side expressed firm support for the Russian Federation in the context of the upcoming presidential elections, as well as our country’s current chairmanship of the BRICS,” the diplomatic service said.
The parties also confirmed their commitment to further cooperation and foreign policy coordination in the interests of strengthening regional and global security and stability.
Earlier, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said that Chinese President Xi Jinping wished Vladimir Putin a successful campaign for the Russian presidential election.
