The number of Palestinian martyrs shot by the Israeli occupation army in the south of the occupied West Bank rose to 4, and the number of detainees in its largest city from last night until Tuesday morning rose to 15, including girls, children and former prisoners.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its crews received a martyr who was shot by the occupation forces at the Mazmoria checkpoint (between Bethlehem and occupied Jerusalem), and he is being transferred to Al-Hussein Hospital in Bethlehem in the south of the West Bank.

Anatolia Agency quoted eyewitnesses that the Israeli army opened fire on a Palestinian near the town of Al-Sawahra in the south of the West Bank. The witnesses stated that soldiers prevented access to the site.

At dawn on Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of 3 Palestinians in a military operation in the city of Tubas and the nearby Faraa camp.

Continuous arrests

On the other hand, the occupation forces arrested 15 Palestinians, including a girl, children and former prisoners, last night and this morning, in various areas of the West Bank.

The Prisoners' Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported, in a joint statement, that the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron, Jericho, and Tubas, bringing the number of detainees to 7,270 since October 7.

The occupation forces also arrested 30 Palestinian workers from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, at dawn today, in the town of Barta'a, south of the city of Jenin.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that the occupation forces raided a residential building where the workers resided, destroyed its contents, arrested the workers, then later released the West Bank workers, and kept the Gaza Strip workers under arrest.

Since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, settlers have escalated their attacks in the West Bank, and the army has escalated its operations, leaving 410 dead and about 4,600 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
