He noted that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres took note of the statement by Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh about his request to President Mahmoud Abbas to resign his government.
“The UN is ready to continue to support efforts aimed at overcoming the humanitarian, political, financial, and security challenges faced by the people of Palestine,” TASS quoted Dujarric as saying.
Earlier, information was received that the Palestinian President accepted Shtayyeh's request for the resignation of the country's government.
