This was reported by the German publication Spiegel.

According to the head of the special headquarters for Ukraine at the German Ministry of Defense, General Christian Freuding, Berlin is trying to purchase ammunition around the world.

According to him, artillery and anti-aircraft ammunition are not available in abundance on store shelves.

The material also notes that the German Ministry of Defense is forced every day to come up with new ways to obtain scarce shells for Ukraine.

Earlier, the German federal government stated that Germany’s total spending on supporting Kyiv currently amounted to about €32 billion.

According to the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov, half of the supplies of Western weapons to Ukraine arrive with delays, which leads to losses of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters and territory.
