Emmanuel Macron arrived on Saturday morning in a climate of tension at the Agricultural Show where dozens of demonstrators forced a gate to enter the premises early, AFP journalists noted.
The president arrived around 8:00 a.m. at the Salon to meet with trade unions.
At the same time, demonstrators, some carrying whistles, rushed into the main entrance where clashes occurred with the security service.
