Military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi said that the continuing losses among the ranks of the Israeli army confirm that the resistance is still cohesive and capable of waging a long battle.

He added - in his daily analysis on Al Jazeera - that the occupation army is currently fighting with two brigades supported by elite forces, but it is unable to achieve goals that it failed to achieve previously.

He pointed out that battles are currently raging in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City, stressing that the Al-Zaytoun Brigade (affiliated with Al-Qassam) maintains 75% of its strength according to reports, which means that it is capable of fighting a long battle.

According to Al-Duwairi, the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas - restructured its forces from 12 battalions to 8 battalions in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, but it maintained its ability to repel the Israeli incursion.

Regarding the visit of the Israeli Army Chief of Staff to the battlefield, Al-Duwairi said that it was an attempt to raise the morale of his forces, exercise leadership, and evaluate the situation directly.
