“The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period until April 8, 2024,” the statement says.
According to investigators, Ivanov and a group of people “committed embezzlement by alienating, at a deliberately reduced value, entrusted real estate that was owned” by the deaf community.
It is noted that in this way the organization suffered significant damage.
Earlier, the All-Russian Society of the Deaf reported the detention of a number of leaders.
It later became known that real estate fraud led to cases against leaders of the deaf community.
