China News Service, Moscow, February 21. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the opening of the first international e-sports event "Future Games" in Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, on February 21.

  Speaking at the opening ceremony at the Kazan International Exhibition Center, Putin said that the "Future Games" is a completely innovative event. Russia was and remains one of the world's leading sporting powers, the birthplace of great athletes, victories and records. More than 2,000 athletes from more than 100 countries around the world will demonstrate their superb skills, fighting spirit and will to win at the games.

  The first international e-sports event "Future Games" is an event that combines traditional sports with e-sports and will last until March 3. The competition involves the application of the latest developments in e-sports, robotics, augmented and virtual reality, information technology and artificial intelligence. The competition events include five categories: sports, tactics, strategy, technology, and racing, and are divided into 21 events in total.
