A conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine was held in Tokyo on the 19th, and more than 50 cooperation documents were exchanged between the two countries. The Japan-Ukraine Economic Reconstruction Promotion Council was held on the 19th at the Keidanren Hall in Tokyo, and focused on seven areas including landmine removal, debris disposal, agricultural productivity improvement, and the development of electricity and transportation infrastructure. In total, 56 cooperation documents were exchanged between the two countries.



In addition, travel restrictions were partially relaxed for those involved in companies and organizations, and measures were also launched to encourage Japanese companies to enter the country, including the start of negotiations to revise investment agreements.



Prime Minister Kishida said, ``The war continues in Ukraine at this very moment.The situation is not easy, but promoting economic recovery is an investment in the future, and the public and private sectors will work together to provide strong support.'' I emphasized.



The government hopes to contribute to Ukraine's recovery from an economic and technological perspective, based on the experience and knowledge gained through recovery and reconstruction from natural disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, and to increase its presence in the international community.
