“In the North Caucasus Federal District, the recruitment plan for the contract last year was fulfilled by 105%. There are territories that coped with this task better, and there are territories that are worse,” said a high-ranking official during a trip to Chechnya.

Despite the fact that the results of such work are positive, the pace of recruitment in the district needs to be increased, Medvedev emphasized.

“In January, the plan was fulfilled in only one of the subjects, namely the Chechen Republic... Everyone needs to work more actively,” TASS quotes the deputy chairman of the Security Council.

Since January 1, 2024, more than 53 thousand people have been accepted into service in the Russian army in the interests of the United Group of Forces, Medvedev said. In 2023, more than 500 thousand people were involved in the interests of the group of troops, of which 420 thousand were under contract.
