In Burkina Faso, armed men attacked the village of Galgnoini, in the commune of Tigba, in the Eastern region, according to several sources. The attack took place on February 7 and left around fifty civilians dead. This region has been under the control of armed terrorist groups for several months despite multiple military operations.
