An Israeli soldier interrogates a Palestinian citizen in Gaza (social media sites)

A video clip published by an Israeli soldier showing the interrogation of a Palestinian citizen from Gaza, who was stripped of his clothes, handcuffed, and suffered an injury to his leg, sparked a state of anger and denunciation on social media platforms.

The story began when an Israeli soldier named Yossi Gamzu posted a video clip through his accounts on social media platforms showing the arrest of a man from Gaza. The video showed the Palestinian citizen being led away in handcuffs and his clothes were removed. The clip also showed the man sitting on a chair in a building in Gaza, his hands tied to the His back, blood flowing from his leg, as if he had been tortured.

The Israeli soldier's friends began circulating the clip and bragging about it, and it also spread among the audience on social media platforms in the Arab world.

By following the comments monitored by Al Jazeera Net, the process of searching for the original clip that the Israeli soldier published through his accounts, some of which were closed, began. During the search, it was found that the soldier “Yossi Gamzu” is a photographer in the Granite Battalion (932) in the Israeli army, which was fighting in Gaza City. Yossi was documenting his battalion's combat operations in the Gaza Strip and uploading them on his YouTube channel. It also turned out that the video was filmed in late December of last year, and was filmed in the Al-Rimal neighborhood in central Gaza.

Tweeters expressed their anger and commented on the clips by saying that these videos show the Israeli occupation army as it really is, in contrast to what its leaders claim is the most moral army in the world.

Others described the photo in which the Gazan detainee was seen as inhuman and one of the hideous stories of Israeli crime, and that there are hundreds of more criminal and horrific stories that have not been revealed against the people of Gaza since the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Followers said that in the first video that showed the man’s arrest, he was not injured, but in the other video, his foot appeared injured and blood was coming out of it, and next to it was a stick that appeared to have been used to torture him, according to their followers.

Some bloggers compared the situation in which prisoners appear to the Palestinian resistance, the way they are dealt with, and the brutal way in which the Israeli occupation soldiers deal with the civilians they arrest from the people of Gaza.

While some observers called for all these cases to be documented and kept in an organized archive to be approved as evidence before the International Court of Justice and for Israel to be held accountable for its crimes.

Others added that the Israeli occupation army continues to document its criminal operations in Gaza without any deterrence or fear of accountability, accusing the West of supporting the Israeli occupation militarily and politically since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip 122 days ago.

All these facts must be documented and accepted as evidence before the International Court of Justice.

Some observers also pointed out the way the Palestinian detainee looks at the Israeli soldier, which they described as great, and they said that this picture reflects the unbreakable spirit of Palestinian steadfastness, and the irony is that it was taken by the executioner himself who wanted to break and insult the victim, but then he is the one who is humiliated in front of the victim’s looks, with his nose, And his glory. As one of them put it.

This is a great picture that reflects the unbreakable spirit of Palestinian steadfastness. The irony is that the one who took it was the executioner himself. He wanted to break the victim and insult him, but then he was the one being insulted by the victim’s looks, his nose, and his arrogance.

The image must be disseminated on a wide scale, we must ingrain it in the people’s memory, and embed it in the collective consciousness of the world. pic.twitter.com/EOxmDbmAyB

The same Israeli soldier posted video clips showing the Israeli army arresting dozens of men, women and children naked, blindfolded and handcuffed in most of the areas they entered in Gaza.
