King Charles III is suffering from a “form of cancer”, discovered during his prostate operation around ten days ago, and has started to undergo treatment. The monarch does not plan to cease his activities, Buckingham Palace announced Monday February 5 in a press release.

"During the king's recent hospital intervention for benign prostatic hypertrophy, a distinct problem was noted" and "subsequent tests identified a form of cancer", it is explained, specifying that the sovereign “will continue to look after the affairs of state.”
