Recently, the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting was held in Davos, Switzerland. Many participants expressed their confidence in China's economic development prospects. In an exclusive interview with China News Service, Claude Smadja, former general manager of the World Economic Forum, said that the world is full of expectations for China’s economic development in 2024. He believes that Chinese Premier Li Qiang’s special speech at the opening ceremony of the World Economic Forum’s 2024 Annual Meeting sent a positive signal and convinced global business elites that investing in the Chinese market is an opportunity. In addition, Claude mentioned three major challenges that China currently needs to face: continuing to boost domestic economic confidence, accelerating the transformation of development models, and balancing technological self-reliance and absorbing foreign investment and external technology.
