Despite a slightly calmer weekend in terms of mobilization, farmers want to continue to make their anger heard. Major mobilizations are planned throughout France from Monday, such as in Toulouse, where demonstrators want to block access to the airport. For the unions, the objective is to bring together all those present at the blockades in recent days.

While the mobilization of farmers is a little calmer this weekend, their anger has not subsided. Important actions are already planned for next week: the FNSEA and the Young Farmers are notably planning the "siege" of Paris, and the Lot-et-Garonne Rural Coordination is considering blocking the Rungis market. Their discontent should also be expressed everywhere in France, such as in Toulouse, where demonstrators want to block access to the airport from Tuesday.

Luc Mesbah, FDSEA general secretary of Haute-Garonne, estimates that more than 700 farmers were present at the various blockades in the department this week. The objective is to bring them together near the airport on Tuesday. "Given the structural problems in agriculture today, we are not making small measures. The small measures are what the Prime Minister proposed to us, these are changes to decrees, shortening of deadlines, little elements like that,” he regrets.

“We are waiting for the voice of the President of the Republic”

According to him, "we absolutely need a law on the French scale and modifications on the European scale, on the French scale, with the intervention of the Prime Minister. And we are above all waiting for the voice of the President of the Republic to bring together all European presidents", insists Luc Mesbah.

Farmers from the neighboring departments of Gers and Tarn-et-Garonne will join the blockades. According to the unions, they could be "unlimited" if Gabriel Attal does not respond to their request.
