“Based on a tip from the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia... a Russian citizen suspected of committing the double murder of a mother and her young daughter on January 23 in Novosibirsk was detained,” TASS reported.
It is clarified that the Russian was detained at a border post in the Turkestan region while trying to cross the border. The suspect was placed in a temporary detention center and extradition to Russia is being considered.
Earlier in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a mother was arrested for hitting her daughter’s head on the floor.
Also, the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg reported that a 23-year-old resident of the city confessed to the murder of her eight-month-old daughter, who did not want to sleep.
