They are both convicted of having planned a murder on behalf of the criminal network Foxtrot and tried to induce a third person to commit the murder.

This is stated by the Östersund District Court in its judgment which was announced on Friday.

It was in the fall of 2023 that the murder plans were drawn up.

Through analyzes of, among other things, encrypted chats, the police have been able to uncover the planning. From them it appears that there was a decision that a murder would be committed in Sundsvall in October on behalf of the Foxtrot network.

Participated in the planning

But the district court does not find it proven that the two county residents were involved in making the decision that the murder would be carried out. However, it is clear that they participated in the actual planning and tried to persuade a third person to commit the murder.

The chats also show that the third person was a guy under the age of 18. One message reads, among other things: "Brother drives, but let anyone under 18 push"

The two county residents are sentenced against their refusal. But the district court considers that it has been proven that they both really intended to try to induce a third person to commit murder and that "they were indifferent to whether a person would be killed."

Both are therefore sentenced for complicity to murder and for each of them the sentence is two years in prison.
