A Palestinian medical source said that 50 Palestinians were martyred and 120 were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted the western areas of the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that three displaced people were martyred and two others were injured in an Israeli bombing in front of the northern gate of its headquarters in Khan Yunis.

Yesterday, Tuesday, the Red Crescent confirmed that the occupation artillery targeted the fourth floor of its headquarters in the city, which was subjected to violent bombardment that killed dozens of martyrs during the past hours.

Al Jazeera's correspondent confirmed the continuation of heavy Israeli bombing on the vicinity of Nasser Hospital in central Khan Yunis.

The occupation army also carried out fire belts on the western areas of the city of Rafah.

The reporter said that martyrs and wounded were killed after the Israeli occupation army targeted displaced people inside a school affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza, noting that the targeted school is located next to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.

According to medical sources, the condition of most of the injured is serious in light of the lack of personnel and the scarcity of necessary medical materials.

Al Jazeera's correspondent also pointed to Israeli artillery shelling in the vicinity of the Grand Mosque in central Khan Yunis.

Doctors Without Borders warns

For its part, Doctors Without Borders warned that wounded civilians in Khan Yunis will not be able to access immediate or emergency care, as the bombing intensifies and approaches the areas surrounding Nasser Hospital.

She said that the hospital represents one of the last two hospitals in southern Gaza, capable of treating those with severe injuries.

The organization expressed its deep concern for the safety of those inside Nasser Hospital, calling for all of them to be protected and to be allowed to leave if they want.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza warned that shrapnel falling into the hospital buildings endangered the lives of patients, medical staff, and displaced persons.

She added that the occupation is placing Nasser Medical Complex and Al-Amal Hospital, affiliated with the Palestinian Red Crescent, in imminent danger.

Ministry of Health spokesman Ashraf Al-Qudra told Al Jazeera that the situation inside the Nasser Complex and Al-Amal Hospital is “very complex and catastrophic.”

He explained that there is currently no possibility for ambulances to enter the complex and the hospital, and pointed out that the intensity of the fire prevents the transfer of the wounded from the Nasser complex to the Jordanian field hospital.

Today, Israel is waging 110 devastating wars on Gaza, which led to the death of 25,490 Palestinians and the injury of 63,354 others, according to data yesterday from the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, which says that most of the victims are children and women.
