RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the press service of the court.

“On January 22, 2024, the Sovetsky District Court of the city of Ulan-Ude granted the request of the preliminary investigation body to extend the period of detention in relation to Eremeev,” the statement notes.

It is clarified that when making the decision, the nature and degree of public danger of the crime charged with Eremeyev, as well as his lack of registration and place of residence in Russia, were taken into account.

In December 2023, the Central District Court of Omsk sent into custody Belarusian Sergei Eremeev, accused of blowing up two trains on the BAM in Buryatia.
