FSB officers, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Service for Financial Monitoring, stopped the activities of a resident of Novokuznetsk, who transferred funds to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Art.

275 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Treason”).

“During the operational search activities, it was established that the detainee made transfers of personal funds to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in order to purchase military equipment,” the statement says.

Along with this, on January 22, the press service of the FSB department for the Altai Territory reported the detention of a local resident born in 1979 while attempting to carry out a terrorist attack.

As follows from the message, the attacker had previously established contact with a representative of a terrorist paramilitary organization banned in Russia.

The man expressed his readiness to carry out terrorist attacks on administrative facilities in Barnaul and against top officials of the region.

Subsequently, the detainee, on the instructions of his curator, prepared Molotov cocktails, using which he planned to start a fire at one of the Ministry of Defense facilities.

While attempting to implement this plan, the man was detained by FSB officers and placed in custody.

On January 19, the FSB also reported the detention of a resident of Khabarovsk, who, on the instructions of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, collected information about the participants of the SVO, as well as about the radio frequencies of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to security officials, at the same time, the detainee, on behalf of a foreign intelligence service, was planning the physical destruction of military personnel stationed in the Khabarovsk Territory.

Along with this, on January 18, it was reported that a man was detained in Crimea, who was filming strategically important objects in the region for a monetary reward, including on the order of the Ukrainian special services.

In his house they found a TNT block weighing 400 g, as well as objects similar to homemade UAVs and parts for them.

The day before, on January 17, it was reported that a local resident was detained in the LPR, who was collecting data for the Ukrainian army about the locations of personnel and military equipment of the Russian Armed Forces in the Northern Military District zone and transmitting them to a representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the messenger.

In addition, on January 12, the FSB detained an employee of one of the high-security enterprises in the Penza region, who established and maintained cooperation with a representative of the Polish intelligence services in order to provide him with information about the activities of the enterprise in exchange for assistance in leaving for permanent residence abroad.

In addition, on January 7, the FSB stopped the activities of an accomplice of the Ukrainian special services in Kaliningrad.

Cases were opened against the detainee under clause 4 of Art.

281.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Promotion of sabotage activities”) and the article on treason.

According to the investigation, the suspect, through an Internet messenger, established contact with an employee of the Ukrainian special services, on whose instructions, for money, he was searching for persons to carry out arson of communications facilities and transport infrastructure.

The suspect involved a number of people living in 15 regions of Russia in this activity.

Security forces have identified more than 15 cases of arson organized by the defendant.

However, five of these incidents were prevented, and ten perpetrators were detained.
