The head of the working group for coordinating assistance to Ukraine at the German Ministry of Defense, Major General Christian Freuding, stated this in an interview with the Welt am Sonntag newspaper.

According to him, if necessary, this figure can be increased.

At the end of December, the first group of six Ukrainian pilots completed the basic training program in the UK and began the practical part in the form of training on F-16 fighters in Denmark.

The French Ministry of Defense also announced the start of training exercises for Ukrainian Armed Forces pilots in 2024.
