  • Events Robbery at gunpoint on a terrace in La Castellana: two motorists steal three luxury watches from customers

One of the three clients of the La Mamona terrace on Paseo de la Castellana in the capital has told in an audio, which has gone viral on social networks and which accompanies this information,

how he experienced the assault of which he was a victim along with two friends in the early hours of last Thursday

.

The young man says that they put a gun to the chest of one of them who was wearing a Rolex and that the assailants showed them a "pipe" as soon as they entered the premises while saying: "Don't worry, we're just coming for the watches."

Around 2:00 in the morning, two South Americans parked a motorcycle in front of the terrace of number 62 Paseo de la Castellana, in the district of Salamanca.

They got off with their helmets on

and entered the premises, heading to a table where three young people were sitting.

One of the three victims tells all the details of the robbery: "Two who

looked like Uber delivery men

arrived and came straight to our table. And one said: 'Calm down guys, we're just here for the watches, don't do anything strange.'"

The young man adds that at that moment the robber, Colombian or Dominican, showed a gun: "The assailant

grabbed my arm and told me 'don't act stupid' and I decided not to risk it,

he turned his wrist and grabbed the watch." .

Another watch was also taken from his other friend, an IWC with a leather strap, even though he turned his hand to try to cover up the fact that it was a good chronograph.

He then describes that they went after the third person who was carrying a Rolex: "They went to take his hand, but he struggled until they told him: '

This is not a fucking joke and he takes the pipe and loads it twice and sticks the tip of the gun in the chest

'».

He ends by saying with resignation: «In the end, my colleague gave them the watch and they left.

Some kids who went after them saw it, but in the end nothing.

A movie, a good scare and everyone is fine."

The case is being investigated by the Cronos Group of the Madrid Police Headquarters, made up of

17 agents specialized in the theft of luxury watches.

This unit recently dismantled an organization dedicated to this type of crimes that used special violence, that focused its activity in wealthy neighborhoods of Madrid and that stole watches worth more than half a million euros using large-displacement motorcycles.

It is suspected that the two perpetrators of the robbery are involved in similar assaults that occurred in bars and terraces in the district of Salamanca and Chamartín.
