Co-chairman of the headquarters Vladimir Mashkov told reporters about this.

“To date, ten times more signatures have been collected than required by law,” he said.

Mashkov noted that such a record number of signatures indicates enormous support for Putin.

Earlier it was reported that representatives of Putin’s election headquarters handed over to the Central Election Commission the signatures of voters that are needed to register him in the 2024 presidential elections.

The Russian presidential elections will be three days, they will take place from March 15 to 17, 2024.

Currently, 11 people are vying for the post of President of Russia.

The Russian Central Election Commission has already registered three candidates: Leonid Slutsky, Nikolai Kharitonov and Vladislav Davankov.

Since they represent parliamentary parties, there is no need to collect signatures in their support to register them as candidates for elections.

Candidates for the presidency from non-parliamentary political parties - Sergei Malinkovich, Boris Nadezhdin, Sergei Baburin, Irina Sviridova, Andrei Bogdanov - must provide at least 100 thousand signatures by January 31.

Self-nominated candidates - Vladimir Putin, the Russian Rada and Anatoly Batashev - must collect at least 300 thousand signatures.
