Recently, the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone released the "Management Measures for Motor Vehicles Entering and Exiting the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone (Draft for Comments)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Management Measures") to solicit opinions from all walks of life.
Can handle procedures for traveling within the island and out of the island at the same time
It is understood that the "Administrative Measures" apply to Macao residents and Macao agencies and enterprises applying for non-operating small passenger vehicles in Macao with less than 9 seats (inclusive).
Among them, the relevant vehicles that enter the Cooperation Zone through the "first-line" port and drive in the cooperation zone are Macao motor vehicles traveling on the island; in compliance with the "Agreement on the Entry and Exit of Macao Motor Vehicles into Hengqin", they apply for the "second-line" through the Cooperation Zone The relevant vehicles that enter other administrative areas in Guangdong Province are Macau motor vehicles that leave the island.
It is worth noting that Macao motor vehicle owners can apply for the procedures for driving Macao motor vehicles within the island and out of the island at the same time; Macao motor vehicle owners who have completed the procedures for driving Macao motor vehicles on the island can separately apply for the procedures for driving Macao motor vehicles out of the island.
After successfully completing the procedures, the relevant Macao motor vehicle license plate and driving license will be valid for one year.
During the validity period, the vehicle can drive in and out of the cooperation zone multiple times; within 30 days before the expiration of the validity period, the applicant can choose to drive the vehicle back to Macau and resubmit the relevant application.
Each vehicle can apply for two registered drivers
It is reported that Macao motor vehicle owners who apply for the qualification to drive Macao motor vehicles on the island as mentioned in the "Administrative Measures" should meet the conditions of registering an enterprise in the cooperation zone, or purchasing a house or working in the cooperation zone.
There are no changes compared to the current application conditions.
Each Macau motor vehicle traveling within/out of the island can apply for up to two registered drivers.
Registered drivers must hold valid entry and exit documents and visas for traveling between the mainland and Macao (Note). When passing through Hengqin Port, motor vehicles must be driven by registered drivers and hold a certificate issued by a health and quarantine agency or a hospital at or above the county level. Health certificate (except for Hong Kong and Macao drivers).
It is worth noting that registered drivers are not allowed to change without authorization after registration.
If it is really necessary to change or the owner of the vehicle changes, the application procedures should be completed again.
