In 2006, Lee & Man Paper established Chongqing Lee & Man Paper Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Chongqing Lee & Man) in Yongchuan, Chongqing.

Over the years, Lee & Man Paper has invested a total of 12 billion yuan, developing Chongqing Lee & Man from a paper mill producing packaging paper to a large enterprise with more than 6,000 employees and covering the entire paper industry chain.

  Chongqing is located inland, with no border or sea. While strengthening the construction of inland open highlands, it is vigorously promoting the construction of a new land-sea corridor in the west.

  He said that Chongqing Lee & Man has long imported recycled pulp from Southeast Asia, South America and other places, which complements the bamboo pulp from Chongqing Yongchuan and other places and is an important papermaking raw material.

According to calculations by Chongqing Lee & Man, the actual logistics cost of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor is basically the same as that of the Jiang-Sea Intermodal Transport. It saves more than 15 days of transportation time and can save 1 million yuan in financial costs every year.

  Therefore, Chongqing Lee and Man has become a staunch participant in the construction of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

According to statistics, from 2017 to 2023, the freight volume transported by Chongqing Li & Wen via the New Western Land-Sea Corridor increased 113 times, and the value of goods increased 90 times. It is one of the companies with the largest shipment volume of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

  Li Jingwei once organized an exchange meeting on the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, and through personal experience and other methods, drove more companies to ship import and export goods through the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

According to reports, since 2019, driven by Chongqing Li & Man, companies in its park have been exporting goods to the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and other places through the New Western Land-Sea Corridor.

  Li Jingwei told reporters that since settling in Chongqing, Chongqing Lee and Man has received strong support from all aspects, including support from the local government, cost reduction and efficiency improvement of the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, etc., and has truly felt a good business environment.

He revealed that with the authorization of the board of directors, Lee & Man Paper plans to invest an additional US$1.6 billion in Chongqing in 2024 to further expand output value and scale, better feed back the local area, and share development opportunities.

  In addition to being a member of the Chongqing CPPCC, Li Jingwei also serves as the executive vice president of the Hong Kong Chongqing Federation and chairman of the Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee.
