Information about this appeared on the Telegram channel of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office.

“Today, due to weather conditions, Pulkovo Airport has suspended operations for sending and receiving flights until the situation improves,” the message says.

According to the department, prosecutors monitor compliance with the rights of passengers in connection with flight delays, providing them with drinks, meals and hotel accommodation.

Earlier, nine flights were diverted to alternate airfields due to strong winds in St. Petersburg.

Meteorologist Alexander Kolesov also predicted warming in the Leningrad region this week.
