“The refusal to accept a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians and the denial of the right to statehood of the Palestinian people is unacceptable,” he wrote.
The UN Secretary General added that the right of the Palestinian people to build their own state must be recognized by all.
Earlier, the press secretary of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Nabil Abu Rudeina, said that the American authorities should recognize Palestine, and not limit themselves only to statements about a solution to the conflict in the Middle East based on the coexistence of two states.
In October, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the key to resolving the conflict in the Middle East lies in the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
