The company announced this on Telegram.

Russian Railways expressed their regret that the cat Twix, thrown out of the train, died.

It is noted that the company conducted an internal investigation, which allowed us to understand the situation in detail.

“Conductors will be prohibited from disembarking animals from the train: in such situations, provision will be made for handing over the discovered animal to workers at stopping points, followed by calling representatives of animal protection organizations,” the message says.

Earlier it became known that the cat Twix, whom the conductor of the Yekaterinburg-St. Petersburg train threw out in Kirov, was found dead.

The conductor threw Twix the cat off the train on January 11.

The required ticket was issued for the animal, but the cat ran out of the compartment.

The conductor did not find his owner and, deciding that he accidentally climbed onto the train, threw him out during the stop.

Later it became known that more than 300 volunteers went out to search for the cat.
