Earlier, Slovakia's Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak expressed fears that the republic risks being left without air defense systems that could cover it.

He recalled that the allies had withdrawn Patriot systems from the country, and the Italians may not extend the mission to deploy SAMP/T systems.

On January 16, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said that Europe must end the conflict in Ukraine through negotiations with Moscow, and not by sending more weapons to Kyiv.
