Competition on the Swedish tour in table hockey in Värnamo

- I used to play and then I made a comeback last fall and at that competition I was then asked if I couldn't arrange a sub-competition.

And with little notice it happened, says David Andersson, who organized the competition in Värnamo, but also participated in the tournament.

About 40 participants aged 10-60 were registered for the competition in Gummifabriken - no women.

- It is a male-dominated occupation, but there can usually be a couple of girls at the competitions, says David Andersson.

Played EC and WC

Table hockey as a sport is still viable and is played in most countries where ice hockey is big.

The best right now is perhaps Latvia.

- I was there at a competition recently and they are really dedicated.

There is a lot of shouting and commitment, says Uno Österlund, 19, who traveled from Stockholm to compete.
