Years of tracking, adventures and miles traveled at the heart of the geopolitical mysteries of our world, and yet Jason Mac Lane, aka XIII, has not aged a bit.

In Traquenards & Sentiments, the fourteenth opus of the XIII Mystery series, author Jean Van Hamme returns to the helm and brings together a panel of outstanding artists, in a tribute to the emblematic characters of the universe.

A new tour de force and new revelations to discover from January 19 in bookstores!

The enigma XIII

A man without a name, without a past, with the only clue to his identity a “XIII” tattoo… Tracked, courted, spied on, XIII crossed the planet and readers followed him in his search for answers.

A series of political anticipation punctuated by personal issues such as the quest for identity and memory, XIII has 20 million copies sold around the world.

The iconic series, created in 1984, had a first cycle with designer William Vance and author Jean Van Hamme.

Yves Sente then took over, accompanied by Youri Jigounov on drawing.

Traps & Sentiments, a unique new opus

Unlike the previous works of XIII Mystery (extension of the "mother series" XIII), this fourteenth opus focuses on multiple characters instead of usually just one.

Jean Van Hamme brought together numerous artists, each illustrating short stories around the characters who surrounded XIII during his adventures.

Philippe Xavier, Iouri Jigounov, Joël Callède, Gontran Toussaint, Mikaël and Alain Henriet explore the fate of agent XX Eleanor Davis-Brown, the life of Lullaby or even the confidences of XIII's former university friends.

In an additional notebook, great names in drawing such as Enrico Marini, Éric Henninot, Alcante, Boucq, Richard Guérineau, Dominique Bertail, TaDuc, Olivier Grenson, Colin Wilson, Jean-Pierre Pécau and Corentin Rouge pay homage in their own way to the emblematic hero.

Celebrating 40 years of mystery

For the birthday of the adventurer with the white locks, Dargaud saw things big.

First of all with an intense editorial program, offering three new albums: after Traquenards and Sentiments in January, the 2nd volume of the XIII Trilogy series dedicated to Jones' tumultuous youth was announced in June, as well as Moscow, Spaso House, the highly anticipated volume 29 of the parent series by Yves Sente and Iouri Jigounov, in October.

Is the missing key to XIII's past hiding in Moscow?

In parallel with these publications, the publisher is planning a massive communication campaign, starting with a corner entirely dedicated to XIII at the Fnac des Ternes in Paris, from January 19 to February 18, with an authors' conference on the opening day. , signings and exhibition.

Online, a visual novel of around forty minutes, playable all year round, has been created for the occasion and will be accessible from January 19.
